Recycling on Hornby

You may have heard that we really like to recycle on Hornby. In fact, Hornby was the first community in North America to start its own recylcing centre, and free store.

At the cabana,  there are sorting bins for your recyclables, which you are encouraged to use. You don’t have to haul them up the the Recycling depot if you don’t wish to, after all you are on holidays!! But if you would like the experience, go for it! It is situated on Central rd, in the middle of the island, after the bakery, up on the straight stretch, towards the co-op , on your left, before the fire hall… How’s that for directions!! Anyways, the hours are marked at the gate.  I believe it is Thurs-Sun 9-1..
